This Work Group is for teachers of mathematics from mainstream, Special Schools, and Alternative Provisions to collaborate and explore what you can do to help children with SEND to engage, overcome barriers and make progress in mathematics.
We will look at:
We will focus on teaching mathematics with a mastery approach and consider how to design and enhance maths curriculum for SEND to support effective learning of maths.
A key aim of the group will be to enable collaboration with other local mainstream, Special Schools, and Alternative Provisions who are interested in developing provision within this area in their school.
Providing participants with an opportunity to share their experiences and best practice will be a key feature of this Work Group.
What is the cost?
The Collaborative Maths Support in SEND Research and Innovation Work Group project is fully funded by the Maths Hubs Programme so is free to participating schools.
